Celebrate all things Irish at the 16th St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival in Downtown Hollywood!
Prepare your float, grab your green beads and don a lime-colored shirt! Don’t miss out on your chance to participate! Planning is now underway for the parade and it’s not too late to submit your applications to have a float or a walking group in the parade. Entry forms are available on the Special Events page under the Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Arts and will be accepted until February 18.
Each year the City of Hollywood and Hibernians of Hollywood team up to host this annual, free celebration of “all things Irish.”
This year’s parade and festival will run from noon to 7 p.m. The parade begins at 1 p.m. and will take place on Hollywood Boulevard and Harrison Street between 19th and 21st Avenues.
It will feature dozens of floats, local marching bands and spectacular bagpipe and drum corps including the famous New York Emerald Society Pipe and Drum Corps. Anniversary Park will go green and become a “Magic of the Emerald Isle” children’s activity area featuring games and crafts for youngsters of all ages.
An exciting line-up of traditional Irish entertainment and award-winning Irish bands will be featured throughout the afternoon on an outdoor stage at 19th Avenue and Hollywood Boulevard. The year’s line-up includes "UV the U2 Tribute Band" and "Gaelic Storm," the world music Billboard chart topping group known for their indie folk and world grooves with a Celtic tradition. "Gaelic Storm" has toured the country performing with acts ranging from the Zac Brown Band to the Goo Goo Dolls.
