The Crockett Foundation and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority’s Zeta Rho Omega Chapter invites locals to their annual Community Health Festival for a day of family fun and health education.


Sponsored by Broward Health, the Community Health Festival will include free health screenings, free immunizations, and free physical exams. Equal parts health and fun, the festival will also include family-friendly activities including games, workouts, a bounce house, a face painter and live entertainment with local talented performers.


In preparation for back-to-school, the Crockett Foundation will also be giving away backpacks.

The Florida Department of Health in Broward County will offer free immunizations for school age children (up to age 18) during the month of August inside the Lauderhill Mall. 

 Parents and guardians are advised to prepare early and get the required immunizations for their child/children before the school rush. In order to be vaccinated, each child must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. Parent or legal guardian should remember to bring the child’s immunization records. Florida requires certain vaccines to be administered before children may enroll and attend childcare and school.

The Heartbeat Foundation, in community with the City of Pompano Beach, brings this non-profit and free admission two-day event with lots of fun, interaction, food from all countries, exhibitors, live performances, footvolley, and live broadcast on LED screens of the final two games of World Soccer Tournament from Brazil.


Pompano Beach will be extending Florida’s warmest welcome to Broward residents and visitors and all the nations that would like to celebrate right on the beach. ATTRACTIONS INCLUDE: Gigantic LED screens will broadcast the soccer finals in Brazil; Bands and singers representing the four best countries will perform; a footvolley tournament will wow the crowd; Food, beverage and exhibitors from all nations will make the Festival of Nations a multicultural celebration.


LS Events and the Heartbeat Foundations are responsible for the successful Brazilian Festival of Pompano Beach and want to expand this experience to all sports lovers.

"Marching Through History" Parade and Family Fun Day will be from 10am to 1pm at City Park, 6700 Sunset Strip. 
Floats will wind their way west along Sunset Strip from NW 12th Street to City Park, where the fun will continue with free food, rides and kids' entertainment. Local businesses and organizations are invited to participate in the parade.
