Free Tour of Spanish Galleon in Fort Lauderdale: Travel back in time on this replica of a ship from when Ponce de Leon sailed to Florida: Viva Florida 500 - May 14, 2013 thru May 19, 2013

Step aboard and tour a replica Spanish Galleon from when Juan Ponce de Leon first came to La Florida in 1513.

Travel back in time on board the ship's decks, which will be open to FREE public visits in Fort Lauderdale, during her stay at Bahia Mar Marina.

El Galeón is a 170 foot, 495 ton, authentic wooden replica of a galleon that was part of Spain's West Indies fleet.

Visitors will have the chance to learn about the history that began 500 years ago while admiring the craftsmanship and grandeur of these galleons that reached Florida's coast centuries ago.  Tickets are FREE courtesy of the Broward County Commission.

Tours will be conducted each day from 9am to 5pm.

Individuals are welcome to visit the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau to pick up complimentary tickets.
