Florida Atlantic University Davie Campus and Broward College Central Campus will be sponsoring Zumba to End Abuse, an effort to break the Guinness world record for largest campus Zumba class on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at 10:00am.

 

The event is intended to raise awareness about domestic violence and to raise funds for the College Brides Walk and No More Tears, local efforts related to domestic violence.

 

The event is being held at the BC/FAU Davie baseball field and will open with registration and check-in from 10am-11am at the shared campus pavilion.

 

Opening speakers, including representatives from FAU, BC, No More Tears' founder Somy Ali and College Brides Walk founder Josie Ashton, will occur from 11:00am until 11:30am.

 

The Zumba class, led by certified instructor and BC faculty member Claudia Sahagun, will take place from 11:30-12:30. Light refreshments will be available after the class. Assistance is being provided by NSU's AAUW chapter.
