Celebrate one of the biggest events in the city all year long with the highly accredited Margate Police Department. Tuesday night, August 2, Margate cops, police command vehicles, military transport, DEA, FBI, Secret Service and Federal Law Enforcement personnel will converge on the Margate Sports Complex between 7 and 10 pm for National Night Out (NNO), a celebration taking place the second Tuesday of every August since 1984 in cities and towns across America.
Parking is FREE and the event last year attracted more than 8,000 residents. Margate’s NNO has won national awards for the past six years and is considered one of the largest in Broward County.

FREE hotdogs, popcorn, sno-cones and gunlocks while supplies last and carnival rides and photo-ops with “Billy the Marlin” police motorcycles and tactical gear all night long. It’s a great way to get better acquainted with local law enforcement, meet some K-9 cops, Police Chief Jerry Blough and get up close and personal with SWAT, the Margate Special Response Team (SRT), Fire Rescue and local BSO (Broward Sheriffs).
Founded by the National Association of Town Watch NNO is designed to strengthen the bond between citizens and law enforcement in an effort to make crime-fighting more effective.
The Bank’s Road Sports Complex is located at 1755 Banks Road Margate. Parking is across the street.
